Drawing with 95 million year old ink, what a privilege!
This weekend we presented the new book "Fossils and Minerals", which I illustrated, and the people of the National History Museum of Oslo allowed me to draw an extinct octopus with ink, the ink of that very fossilized octopus! The fossil is so well preserved, that is was possible to extract sepia ink from its ink sac. And it worked very well, almost as good as regular ink!
Pictures of the finished result will follow.
Here is a video of me working on the drawing:

Hello everyone,
My new website is finally finished. Go take a look at:

Display work at Virginia Museum
The Virginia Museum of Natural History in Martinsville used one of my paintings to create this very nice display.
And yes, my fellow paleo artists, this museum actually DID offer me (a very generous, in fact) payment for the use of this work! Thumbs up for Virginia Museum of Natural History! :)
Now everyone go and visit it!
