Finally, my book "Sjøskorpionen på Ringerike" (The Sea Scorpion in Ringerike) is finished! This book is the last in the palaeontological trilogy of "Ida" and "Monsterøglene på Svalbard". It is written by Jørn Hurum and Torstein Helleve, and the almost 300 illustrations in the book are mine.
It has taken us about three years to make these books. The firts book; Ida, is about the oldest and most complete primate fossil in the world, found in Messel Germany. The second books tells about the amazing jurassic sea reptiles being dug up on Svalbard. And the third book is about life in the silurian period in and around Ringerike (Norway). In this area have been found some wonderful fossils of sea scorpions and the earliest fish.
The books have been published in Norway, by Cappelen Damm. There has been great interest form other countries, and Ida has been translated in French, Dutch, and will come out in Chinese, Japanese and Russian soon. The second book is also available in French, and will probably be published in the other languages too.
